Elizabeth Schneider

Elizabeth Schneider is a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with APC Microbiome Ireland at University College Cork. Dr. Schneider earned her BSc in Psychology with a Minor in Nutrition and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University (USA). Dr. Schneider then completed a PhD in psychopharmacology at the University of Birmingham (UK) investigating the interplay between homeostatic, hedonic, and cognitive mechanisms underlying appetite control. Presently, Dr Schneider's postdoctoral efforts are centred on investigating the relationship between the gut microbiota and brain health, highlighting its potential role as a mediator in nutrition-related processes.
